What [IG Metall chairman] Herr Hofmann says is false and
misleading. A central point of our election campaign consists in defending the
positions of industrial workers from the annihilation campaign of an
unreasoning climate policy.
If his trades union would visit our events instead of
demonstrating against them, it would be informed of our election program. Herr
Hofmann even now is not being honest. He acts as if the mobility transition in
its present form might be accomplished without that severely affecting Germany
as an industrial site. That is false.
The Alternative für Deutschland represents the interests of
German workers better than does the IG Metall. We are for the continuation of
combustion engines and for a free age for pension access. Who worked hard needs
also to be able to be pensioned earlier.
