By means of its Corona preventive measures, the State
government has nearly paralyzed instruction and upbringing. Schoolchildren,
like parents, feel themselves left in the lurch. The so-called distance
instruction could not do what the Education Ministry promised. For those growing
up, the psychological consequences are disastrous.
Yet even before the Corona crisis, the situation in the
schools was precarious. On the bases of ministerial standards, the results
thanks to reduced requirements and an inflated evaluation indeed always appear
to be better, yet prove to be an uncovered check. Universities as well as
training programs complain that the graduates can do ever less, and with many
there is a lack of conduct like punctuality, reliability and diligence.
It becomes time for a new honesty in the area of education.
We demand the assurance of substantial content and applicable knowledge
proceeding from a fundamental education in writing, reading and figuring in the
Grundschulen, to the assurance of an
authentic scholarly ability through the Gymnasien.
