For the citizens in the EU are required no unctuous speeches
on the State of the Union like you have once again presented to us today. What
your speech in terms of content delivers,
soberly considered and without the quite false pathos, are never before seen spending orgies for presumptive forced
benefits from Brussels. Green Deal, Fit for 55, Reconstruction Funds – all of which
are ciphers for yet more central state, for yet more absurd and senseless
subventions, for yet more tutelage of the citizens. And the citizens shall pay
for that with their own hard-earned money – by means of introduction of EU
taxes, as also by an EU indebtedness, which for good reasons have not been
foreseen in the European treaties.
Yet that does not concern you in your de facto socialistic
benefits frenzy. You want, ja, to
save the world, right? You want to have the world climate healed in Europe.
What hubris! And you want to reconstruct Europe as if it were destroyed by Covid,
as it actually was after the Second World War, yet nevertheless is not today. That
however is manifestly all the same to you in your insatiable greed for ever
more power and ever more control over the lives of the people.
Has the idea even once actually occurred to you that the
citizens in the Union primarily want one thing; namely – apart from a few,
undisputed, authentic duties – simply to be left in peace? Their laboriously
earned money themselves be allowed to retain, instead of throwing it into the
jaws of the Moloch of Brussels in the form of additional taxes or a taking up of
debts for senseless projects for which their children and grandchildren will have
to pay?
It speaks volumes when you, Frau von der Leyen, receive the
greatest praise from the left half of this plenary hall. It is after all very convenient
for you that in Germany a government of red socialists, green socialists and
expropriation-crazed communists is at the gates. Since that permits to still
further fire up your expenditure and redistribution orgies. Your Green Deal,
Frau von der Leyen, your Green Deal is no deal. A deal presupposes the
understanding of two, free contracting parties. On the contrary: It is an
unexampled attack on the economic principles of our continent. The EU wants
thus to unilaterally save the entire planet!
The Europeans out there are allowed to pay the check for
this gigantic hubris. We Germans are already today experiencing what the absurd
parallel withdrawal from coal-generated electricity and nuclear energy means
for the individual households. Germany now already has, thanks to Frau Merkel’s
fully bungled energy transition, the highest electricity price in Europe. Ever
more people simply cannot afford the electricity, the heating, the benzene to go
to work. A bitter foretaste for our neighboring countries. Ja, listen well, with the Green Deal that is also coming to your
countries, honored colleagues.
Frau Commission President, I say to you in all clarity: You,
the EU and quite especially our homeland Germany find themselves on a capital
and historical wrong way. If Europe is to continue to remain a prospering,
economically successful continent, and at the same time shall your goal of a massive
CO2 reduction be achieved, then it will be neither with the EU
Commission’s planned economy experiments
nor with the pseudo-ecological estimates of the so-called Greens who destroy
our landscape with thousands of windmills as sacred edifices of their Green
creed. We are thereby headed not only to blackouts and energy rationing. On the
contrary: This proceeds at all only in parallel with high tech. And of that,
nothing now comes from Brussels. And it also only proceeds with a comprehensive
use of nuclear energy – and in fact with the most modern, fourth generation
nuclear energy. Your speech of self-praise is therefore crying-to-heaven false.
With your course, Frau von der Leyen, you are literally leading the Europeans to
a cold and dark future.
Nein, the EU is not fit. It is today a sick patient which lacks the insight into its own illness, a necessary basis for any healing. This pertains to all areas, besides those which for reasons of time I simply cannot go into: Covid policy, for example, or the catastrophic failure of the migration policy. With the disturbing self-complacency which is expressed in your speech, Frau von der Leyen, you will plainly not set right the challenges of the coming generations. Just the opposite – unfortunately. In a quarter-century – I prognosticate this to you – in a quarter-century one will only shake his head without comprehension over the political errors of our time. And to already recognize this today, one certainly need be no prophet, but only master an acquaintance of the data and facts with which one understands.
