Just before massive movements of refugees from Afghanistan,
the [EU] commissioner blusters about resettlement. She thereby knows quite
precisely that the acceptance for that by many states and countless citizens is
non-existent. In the first place, instead of with such statements stimulating
the emigration of Afghans willing to migrate, the EU commissioner and the EU’s
High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy should commit
themselves to that most of all Afghans can live in their own country in
security and unity. The EU needs to act according to the maxim: Avoid flight
and support the regions of origin!
As Germany can bear no additional strain as as result of
Afghan refugees, so there can be no talk in our country of a successful
integration of Afghan migrants. We thus can accept no individual Afghans in
regards to whom we have no direct contractual obligations. Considering the high
unemployment and the cost of criminality of Afghan asylum migrants, one can only
reject Annalena Baerbock’s proposal to immediately haul over 50,000 Afghans to
Germany. We need to follow the example of Austria, strengthen Europe and to all
Afghans willing to migrate send the clear signal: No way!
