Our
thanks are also meant for the overburdened nursing staff in the hospitals and
seniors homes. Nevertheless, the unctuous words of Social Minister Köpping must
seem like mockery to the nurses. For years, the State government has economized
to ruin the nursing area and itself generated the striking personnel scarcity.
Additionally,
the government slumbered the entire summer and recruited no additional personnel.
Untested nursing staff could for months spread the virus in the old-age homes.
The many deaths amongst the high-risk groups is also on the account of the
government. Now Minister-president Kretschmer threatens the citizens with “authoritarian
measures”. The allegedly imprudent citizens are guilty of the failures of his Corona
policy. In that regard, a large daily
newspaper has just recently listed “Kretschmer’s 5 Corona Failures” and issued
him a bad testimonial.
The
government’s gaveled policy inflicts any number of harms upon the economy,
education and democracy. The AfD on the contrary is committed to intelligent
and purposeful Corona preventative measures which primarily protect at-risk
groups and allow more freedom to other citizens.
