First the Federal government, by means of artificial climate
duties, inflates fuel costs far above two euros per liter, and now, so as to “nobly”
portray itself as savior in the emergency, announces an abatement of some ten
percent while the state pockets a portion far over 50 percent. The citizens
themselves still need to pay for this abatement from one or another tax money pocket. That is a smoke screen which
cements the politically originated high price level.
The people require no apparent solutions knit with the hot
needle but long-term price reductions. CO2 tax and eco duty are to
be revoked; beyond that, there is in the area of value-added tax a great margin
for reductions. The employees’ commuter allowance and the basic tax allowance
clearly need to be increased so that more net income remains in the pocket of
the citizens.
