Gottfried Curio, March 4, 2022, Steinmeier and Leftist Extremism

AfD Kompakt, March 4, 2022.

As you know, for Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier any scandal in the vicinity of leftist extremism is good. Yet his latest congratulations manifests yet again an incremental increase. In a letter of congratulations to a film director, he praises among others Gudrun Esslin’s “great intelligence” and “personal strength” and her “impressive will for changing the social as well as political situation”.

Thus writes our head of state of the co-founder and most important protagonist of the RAF terrorist organization, who herself was responsible for numerous bombing attacks which resulted in many fatalities. For that, she was sentenced by a court of law to life-long imprisonment. Steinmeier’s indeed well-known predilection for leftist extremism has, with this exculpation of a political murderer, finally over-stepped a limit. Herr Steinmeier, resign!

Martin Vincentz, February 17, 2022, Covid-19 Policy Data

Nordrhein-Westfalen Landtag, Plenarprotokoll 17/162, pp. 45-46.

Right honorable Herr President.Right honorable ladies and gentlemen.

The question of how to well and lastingly protect one who had overcome a Covid-19 illness against re-infection was for long not comprehensively researched so that there were some uncertainties which extended up high in the Federal Ministry for Health. We most recently spoke of that this morning; there had been some disavowals.

Nevertheless, an administrative court in Berlin has stated that the shortening [of the recovered status time period] was not legal and that the RKI [Robert Koch Institute] ought not to decide that, so that now at the beginning of 2022 perhaps again a look at present studies is required so that we as parliament are able to occupy ourselves with this.

The studies meanwhile show a quite different picture than that partially fabricated by the Federal Ministry for Health. According to the newest, those recovered are not only at least just as effectively protected against re-infection as persons adequately vaccinated and boostered, the protection indeed clearly continues even longer. Every subsequent study which is here consulted numbers the time period at a minimum of eight to 13 months.

A shortening of the recovered status can thus be political to the max – for me, motivated by pharmaceutical lobbies, not by science, and urgently needs to be rescinded. On the contrary, an extension to nine months appears in this situation to be honestly sensible.

Without exception, all former Covid-19 patients in a large Swedish study for example subsequently developed anti-spike IgG antibodies. The authors stressed that the protection was independent of the seriousness of a Covid-19 illness and therefore even asymptomatic cases can be protective.

In any case, a few months ago in the U.S.A. a similarly good immune status of recovered nursing staff had been able to be registered. The working group around Professor Dr. Michael Rothberg, geriatrician and internist as well as vice-president of research at the Cleveland Clinic, confirmed not only that a high but before all a long lasting immunity of those recovered – even against Delta, by the way – with an 88.2% against symptomatic infections could in this case be better than a booster.

In a collection of studies from the end of 2021, the protective effect resulting from a recovered status on the risk reduction rate is figured at 80.5% to 100%. Although allowed ten months at that time – so it says in the study – the protection apparently lasts longer. The comparison to the vaccinated besides comes out on the whole more favorably. Persons after double vaccinations, in comparison to those who had overcome an infection, had by a factor of 13.6 a higher risk of suffering a breakthrough infection; and the vaccinated, thus in this case the twice vaccinated, moreover had an increased risk of hospitalization in relation to the recovered.

A study from Qatar has in this regard again indicated that the protective effect against Omicron is very good, moreover with 56%. Compared with this, according to a report from the Imperial College in London, the efficacy of an Astra-Zeneca of Pfizer vaccination against Omicron after two doses is between 0% and 20%, after a booster 55% to 8%, and thus even here the recovered status is not worse, even with the booster.

It is not least important that recovered children and youth also are at least just as well if not even  better protected from re-infection than recovered adults.

The greater numbers of researchers meanwhile admonish to make epidemiological use of the obviously favorable immune status of the recovered. These people publicly require only later a vaccination which creates time to further prioritize the vulnerable groups, or still that a single vaccination is enough so as to consider these persons as completely protected.

Beyond that, to the recovered is due a freedom of movement status in point of access to public events, to a workplace, in business and in regards travel options which is at least equivalent to that of persons with a corresponding vaccination status, thus even with the booster. We therefore demand of you all clarity in this matter.

Antibody researchers meanwhile may very clearly determine an antibody titer which steadily protects against infections; under 22 binding antibodies per unit, one is not protected, between 22 and 44 indicates an acknowledged gray zone. These can be avoided. Here a safe distance can be maintained. But with at least 50 binding antibodies per unit, a recovered certificate can with security be prescribed. Since these tests are very rapid, they are very propitious. They on the other hand do not have the required labor.

We therefore again demand of you to look into this matter to improve it. The government of course increasingly conducts itself – it needs unfortunately be said – far from science. This can no one in fact seriously want.

We therefore again demand of you to commit yourselves at the Federal level that the minimally prescribed six months, better yet nine months, apply for the recovered and similarly as with many other illnesses – known to you if you work in the medical area, perhaps Hepatitis B or also with other illnesses – that by means of evidence of antibodies, by means of a titer determination, can then a certificate of recovery be obtained, and not just by means of a PCR test which besides has not been suitable, I say to you, as to whether you have in fact overcome an infection and whether you then also are in fact protected against further infection.

I am grateful to you for your attention.

Rüdiger Lucassen, February 27, 2022, Bundeswehr and Russia

German Bundestag, Plenarprotokoll 20/19, pp. 1378-1379.

Herr President. Right honorable colleagues.

The atomic power Russia has attacked the Ukraine. Putin’s military victory is very probable – at an enormously high price. What then comes? A country twice as large as Germany in guerrilla war, repressions, terror, long-term destabilization on the EU’s eastern border – dramatic prospects.

Many of you wish for a defeat of Putin. Yet what would then come? Insight? A return to the international community? Transfer of power to a peaceful successor? Unimaginable! Putin has gone “all-in”. If he loses, it can all the more become a nightmare: Revolt of the Russian people, revolt of the military, power struggle in the state apparatus. A defeat of Putin is incalculable because Russia is an atomic power.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have let slip a historic opportunity. Europe and we Germans after the Second World War did not manage to build an order of peace which integrated Russia. In 1990, we received a second opportunity and we did not use it. Putin made us an offer, yet we did not agree to it. We were not capable of understanding and accepting the security interests of the Russian Federation. We credited these as a matter not desired to be understood. Now it is too late for that. Now we again have war in the middle of Europe – an aggressive war which by no means is to be excused, not even by the ignorance of the West in the past 25 years.

What does this mean for Germany? We have crashed hard on the ground of reality. The brutal politics of power is back and sweeps the viewpoint ethic from German policy. Germany has no alternative. The Federal government must now change course in the direction of power politics. Power also means possessing military capability. Germany no longer has this capability; everyone here in house knows that. The Bundeswehr cannot defend our country and it cannot fulfill Germany’s obligations in the alliance. What we now require is the greatest armaments offensive since the Second World War. That is not to be achieved in a year, and not with the in fact necessary 100 billion euros.

Yet the Federal government is also responsible for sharpening the awareness in our people for a new defense capability. Ladies and gentlemen, the military service obligation in Germany must be reactivated. When, if not now? Defense capability is the price of our freedom.

I thank you.

Tino Chrupalla, February 27, 2022, Germany and Russia

German Bundestag, Plenarprotokoll 20/19, pp. 1369-1370.

Right honorable Herr President. Right honorable ladies and gentlemen. Dear countrymen.

Let me for a beginning make a statement to the effect of agreeing with all previous speakers: Russia has attacked Ukraine and we again have war in Europe. This most deeply dismays me as a politician, as a citizen of Germany and as a father of a family.

Certainly the origins of the conflict go back at least eight years and are complex. Yet it ought not be our aim in these days to determine which one is guilty. We need to conduct the discussion to a solution, to a common future.

In that regard, Germany and its citizens should stand at the mid-point, exactly so as in the role of European states and peoples. Russia is plainly a part of this, as is the Ukraine. Herr Lindner, there is always hope, even hope during a war. Russia is just as little Vladimir Putin as Germany is Frank-Walter Steinmeier. It is not so simple.

We certainly are not allowed to forget in these days Russia’s contribution to Germany and Europe, by which means 32 years ago German unity was made possible, supported by the withdrawal of Russian troops in the year 1994. We owe them respect, and I say that quite well aware as an east German. To this day, we thank Russia for that.

Dear colleagues, apportionments and assignments of guilt produce no solution but heat up the conflict ever further. I much more agree with all speakers who support a de-escalation and détente of words and deeds. And I myself call for restraint [Mässigung]. We all want peace in Germany and Europe. Therefore, valued colleagues, please gather all partners at the negotiations table. Exit the thought corridor of East-West conflict and sketch a common future for the European continent. For that, we must remain in dialogue.

Possible solutions presuppose compromises on both sides. Herr Scholz, you have today with your speech unfortunately re-activated the Cold War; this I need clearly say to you.

Unfortunately, at the moment I see – this I have previously heard in the speeches of all – an over-bidding competition for the most rapid and most effective demolition of bridges to the East; for example, money flows and Nord Stream, as Herr Chancellor Scholz wants it, or means of transport so that Aeroflot no longer may land near us. Here the question really needs be asked: To whom is this of use? To whom is this of use and which consequences do we thereby purchase for ourselves? Herr Merz, a short time ago you spoke of  “interests”. Which interests you pursue, we all know. Definitely not German interests.

            Alexander Lambsdorff (FDP): Phooey!

We need ask ourselves: Which social consequences does your policy have for the German citizens? These already now need to generally learn to live with rising prices; keywords: Benzine price, heating costs, rising inflation. Please ponder thereon as to which signals you give to the following generations. Do you in all seriousness want to be the Federal government which again sends soldiers into a war against Russia? That we reject, just as we do the delivery of weapons to war zones.

Valued colleagues, we as Germany in the middle of Europe are tested in suffering. Certainly with our experiences we could uprightly and self-consciously advocate for a stable, secure Europe and mediate in this conflict as a neutral. I therefore call upon the Federal government: Do not plan how we are to make relations worse, but how we can guarantee prosperity, security and a peaceful co-existence for all nations from Vladivostok to Lisbon! We need stability. It is in no case allowed to result in that you now already plan for the next migration wave.

            Saskia Esken (SPD): Phooey!

Who, as do we, looks upon the Ukraine as a self-reliant [eigenständigen] state must also commit himself to this and not promote its destabilization.

Ladies and gentlemen, in regards all strife for the good, an apparently clear position for freedom and democracy also reveals itself at times as a dead-end. The principal conductor of the Munich Philharmonic, Valerei Gergiev, should distance himself from Russian policy because he is Russian. I do not know, Herr Merz, whether for you he is also a representative of Russia. He should by Monday decide, otherwise he will be given notice at his workplace. Is this a single instance, or will soon all Russian citizens in Germany be held guilty by association [Sippenhaft]? This is really incomprehensible.

This demand stems from the Social Democratic Oberbürgermeister of Munich, Dieter Reiter. Ideology-driven Cancel Culture for freedom and democracy? How is that the position of the Federal government, Frau State Minister Roth? Whom then is it supposed to affect – Putin? That is pure power symbolism and is unsuitable. The times in which applied eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth are past.

Ladies and gentlemen, the German-Russian friendship needs to be just as important as the German-French. Mutual regard and respect are the basis for a common future.

Vizepräsident Wolfgang Kubicki: Herr colleague, please come to a conclusion.

Stable relations on the European continent are therefore in our interest.

Alexander Lambsdorff (FDP): What are you saying?

We reject a new arms race. On that account, these 100 billion euros for the Bundeswehr are really an error, Herr Scholz. As delegation chairman and national chairman for the Alternative für Deutschland, I will personally continue to commit myself for dialogue with all negotiating partners and for peace.

Many thanks.
