Alexander Gauland, October 20, 2021, Polish-German Border and Migration

AfD Kompakt, October 20, 2021.

The Federal Interior Minister has noted plenty late that it needs be fixed. The Polish-German border patrols announced by him are nevertheless again only an evasive maneuver. The decisive point is that illegal migrants without exception must be sent back and certainly not first allowed to obtain the possibility of submitting an asylum petition. Not just a couple percent, but all illegal migrants who from Belarus reach the German border via Poland must be returned to Poland. For the guaranteeing of that, seamless border controls are indispensable. The border guards must receive the commission to prevent illegal border crossings, and not just for official reporting. Horst Seehofer must here make a complete job of it [Nägel mit Köpfen machen].

Jörg Meuthen, October 19, 2021, Poland and EU

AfD Kompakt, October 19, 2021.

If Poland withdrew from the EU, the EU Parliament could in fact be abolished, since scarcely one plenary week goes by in which the Poles in Strasbourg are not put in the pillory. The reproaches which Brussels makes to the government in Warsaw are abstruse: It is not Poland which has a problem with its state of law but very much the EU in regards its observance of its own laws. Warsaw cannot be blamed that it takes seriously its own courts. Would it be desired that other states follow this example.

EU law then only has priority before national law when it concerns EU competences. The EU itself however cannot arbitrarily decide what its competences are and these anyway widen. This holding of the Polish constitutional court was in this or similar form already shared by the constitutional courts of other states, as in Spain, France, yet also in Germany.

The proceedings against Poland, the financial extortion and the threat of exclusion from the EU federation of states, are thus not juridically but politically motivated: One is disturbed that Poland does not participate in the leftist-globalist agenda with its LGBTIQ propaganda, its Multikulti fetish and its cult of abortion, and instead defends its Christian-Western heritage, its traditions and its identity – and consequently the fundamentals of our civilization which unfortunately ever more need be vindicated in 21st Century Europe.

Alice Weidel, October 18, 2021, Coalition and Budget

AfD Kompakt, October 18, 2021.

The “traffic light” is proceeding according to the familiar type of socialist wish-what-you-will policy: The expansion of the state sector will be passed off as an “investment”, an expensive pretense by which others are arranged and the financing will be shifted into nebulous generalities and declarations of intent. The lip service for the debt brake and for a renunciation of new taxes are, under these conditions, worthless placebos.

It is significant that the debate now already is primarily about how the debt brake could be tricked out by means of “investment companies” and “special facilities”. That is voter fraud, since in the end the taxpayer must always be stiffed for public debts, no matter how it is declared. It can thereby be expected to again arrive at new costs under the camouflage of “duties” [Abgaben] or “pricings” [Bepreisungen].

In view of exploding energy prices, the citizens urgently need to be relieved. That however is not achieved by the distribution of new debts, but only when the state pockets less and cuts senseless expenditures. The lavishing of billions on energy transition, EU redistribution, euro debts union, migration costs and a green-left ideology and clientele politics is however not at all a theme for Greens, SPD and their majority-making FDP. It is an evidence of incapacity for the FDP that it lends itself to so transparent a charade and betrays liberal principles for a pair of cabinet posts.
