If the Baden-Württemberg Interior Minister’s information is
correct, which I do not doubt, then the brutally violent attack on an AfD stand
in Schwäbisch Schorndorf is just the beginning of a threatened series of acts of
violence against members and adherents of our party.
I very much hope that not only we but also the
representatives of our democratic competitors, who take pains for the domestic
peace of our country and social organizations, courageously and openly express
themselves against this form of influence upon a democratic election campaign.
We in any case will go into this election campaign without
fear and will not allow ourselves to be intimidated by these violent
perpetrators. On the contrary. That today many political personalities – even such
as those in government office – have a taste for the criminal behavior of the
violence-ready Antifa is for us a spur to revitalize our country’s democratic
powers and lead Germany to a better future.
