Stephan Brandner, August 24, 2020, Social Reconstruction

Stephan Brandner
Social Reconstruction
AfD Kompakt, August 24, 2020

[Stephan Brandner is an Alternative für Deutschland Bundestag member from the eastern German state of Thüringen. He is a lawyer.]

Those in government are using the people’s angst, which they have compounded into panic primarily by their previous recourse to compulsorily financed broadcasting, to enable a social reconstruction according to their own taste; and rejoice that, in face of angst and fear and yet also economic emergency, the resistance of the population is becoming ever less. We must show these people of the old parties, who for years have ruined this country, that we will not allow it and that we will rise up for our rights and also against the ever new gifts of billions to the EU, by going into the street and resisting. Otherwise, the dream of Schäuble, Merkel & Co. may be fulfilled and we may awake in a completely altered society: A society which we never wanted, a society without freedom.

Jörg Urban, August 17, 2020, Antifa Financed with Tax Money

Antifa Financed with Tax Money
AfD Kompakt, August 17, 2020

[Jörg Urban is chairman of the Alternative für Deutschland in the eastern German state of Saxony and is chairman of the AfD delegation in the Saxon state legislature.]

We will not tolerate this public promotion of militant, leftist extremism under the cover of freedom of art. The AfD delegation will introduce parliamentary measures to procure an end to this undemocratic mischief. The financing and indulgence of leftist perpetrators of violence has reached a new dimension under the government of CDU Minister-president Kretschmer. The nomination of the green, pro-Antifa Justice Minister Katja Meier was a serious failure. The Antifa obviously feels itself empowered by the political backing to encourage criminal acts. Since the state election, the leftist violence in Saxony ever more increases in the form of attacks on persons and acts of arson. The BKA [Federal Criminal Office] now warns that Leipzig is the new, nationwide stronghold of leftist extremism.

Ingo Hahn, August 7, 2020, EU Plastics Tax

Ingo Hahn
EU Plastics Tax
AfD Kompakt, August 7, 2020

[Ingo Hahn is a chairman of the Alternative für Deutschland delegation in the state legislature of Bavaria. He is a geography professor.]

It is simply an injustice should German citizens, to cover an over-drawn EU budget, be saddled with a plastics tax which is moreover equivalent to EU direct taxation. While the AfD is committed to a reduction of plastic, it is not in the form, if you please, of a hypocritical EU refinancing strategy but one with a realistic focus on the environment. That in the same stroke the emissions deal is to be expanded sets the crown on the whole. Since the emissions deal now furthers a creeping, compulsory taxation of citizens and businesses without developing a recognizably positive effect on the environment.

The question of Europe’s future ought not become the fatal issue for the German Mittelstand which already now has been seriously affected by the economic consequences of the Corona crisis. The further introduction of freely invented surtaxes under the ostensible argument of aid to the environment should no longer be sold to the citizens as an ecological contribution. Since all that this government under Merkel aims at is a redistribution of German tax money towards a failed monetary union which is to be kept artificially alive by the German side.
