Corinna Miazga, September 17, 2021, Public Broadcasting and Politics

AfD Kompakt, September 17, 2021.

To bring into play the thesis that it may be normal and right that people who have no German passport should vote in Germany is completely absurd. We still have in Germany representative democracy and a citizenry [Staatsvolk] to which people with a German passport plainly belong, and others plainly not. At where do we arrive when anyone who is merely staying with us is allowed to vote?

The public broadcasting is sawing at the pillars of our democracy when it conveys such contributions. Such ideas would induce quotas, altered election or citizenship laws, and similar radical changes for an allegedly improved representation and would completely set Germany’s political system on its head. The public broadcasting therefore needs to take care that with such proposals it does not soon come into the purview of the Constitution Defense. What the ARD and the ZDF are here bringing into play is grossly unconstitutional.
